Community Learning And Leadership

Leadership Development is an important function of the Jewish Federation of Greater El Paso. We work with all local Jewish organizations to help up-and-coming volunteers learn more about the Jewish community locally, as well as Nationally and Globally. The program is developed to help participants connect their Jewish experiences with our traditions as well as with Organized Jewish life.

Over the years, the Jewish Federation implemented this program twice, resulting in the CLAL I and CLAL II graduating classes. We are currently working to offer, in the Fall of 2015, a new opportunity for participation. We will ask all local Jewish Organizations to submit the names of applicants for the program. The program itself includes, among other subjects:

- The Jewish Alphabet Soup: JFNA, JDC, JAFI, URJ, USCJ, OU, AJC, ADL, JCPA, JCRC, etc...

- Our local community

- Our Programs

- Tzedakah and the Guide for the Perplexed

- Our tradition: A Call for Action and Ethical Standards
