The Havdalah Hike for November will be to West Cottonwood Spring. We will meet at the Mundy’s Gap trail head in Tom Mays Park and climb to the Springs. The climb will take about 2.5 hours round trip. There are some difficult parts to the trail. It is rated as moderate, which means you can climb most of it standing up and not using your hands. Our last trip to the Spring had a number of young children and they enjoyed it. We saw a tarantula in the trail. It was a good hike.
This will be the last day of Daylight Saving and sundown will be about 6:00 PM. We will meet and hike starting at 3:00. That will give us bit more time to enjoy the spring and the trees in the middle of a desert mountain: a true oasis!
