How to develop a project narrative and build a project budget.
2:00pm - 3:30pm
6:00pm - 7:30pm
This introductory workshop will focus on two principal areas of grant writing. First, we will look at various ways of developing a grant project narrative. This includes outlining major project goals and expected outcomes, drafting and selecting narrative themes, and achieving concise project descriptions that conform to grant application word limits.
Second, we will examine basic structures and components used in building a grant project budget. These include common project expenses, single and multi-year budget structures, as well as calculating staffing hours and costs for project management and administration. This workshop will conclude with a brief overview of grant writing resources.
