El Paso Holocaust Museum & Study Center is excited to present its second Creative Activism Youth Workshop on “Power of Protest” – Saturday, May 5th, 10:00am-4:00pm.
The focus of this workshop is to empower young people to stand up and speak out about what they believe in, and when they see injustice in the world. The day will start with an in-depth tour of “White Rose Resistance” – a special new exhibit about youth resistance during the Holocaust. The Creative Activism participants will be the first to see this exhibit that focuses on the lives and work of young people who saw inhumanity and injustice and did something about it. The afternoon will be spent exploring youth protest and activism today. This time will be student-run as we want to hear their voices, their viewpoints, and how they feel about issues through creative projects using art, writing, audiovisual, etc. on issues they care about.
This workshop is free and open to all high-school-age students. Snacks, lunch, and supplies will be provided. For more information or to sign up, please contact Jamie Flores at EPHM: 915.351.0048 / email@example.com
